At TraceOverlay, we respect your privacy and are committed to transparency about our data practices.
Our Data Practices
TraceOverlay does not sell your personal information.
We do not:
- Sell your personal data to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your data for targeted advertising
- Allow third parties to collect your data for their marketing purposes
What We Do Share
We share limited data with service providers who help us operate TraceOverlay:

Your Images
Your images never leave your device. All reference images are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.
How to Opt-Out
Even though we don't sell your data, you can still exercise your CCPA rights:
Option 1: Email Us
Send an email to [email protected] with:
- Subject: "CCPA Privacy Request"
- Your name
- Email address associated with your account
- Your request (access, delete, or opt-out)
Option 2: Account Settings
- Log into your account
- Go to Account > Settings
- View and manage your data preferences
Option 3: Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time, which will remove all your personal data from our systems.
Verification
To protect your privacy, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. This may include:
- Confirming your email address
- Verifying account access
Processing Time
We will process your request within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll notify you.
Your CCPA/CPRA Rights
As a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you
- Delete your personal information
- Opt-Out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Non-Discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You will receive the same service and pricing regardless of your privacy choices.
Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. The agent must provide:
- Written authorization from you
- Proof of their identity
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We support Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a valid opt-out request.
To enable GPC:
- Firefox: Privacy & Security > "Tell websites not to sell or share my data"
- Brave: Shields > "Global Privacy Control"
- Chrome/Edge: Install a GPC browser extension
